Guide for Presenters
Instructions for Oral Presentations
PC Preview Desk
- Please bring your presentations on a USB memory stick in MS-Power Point or your own PC for pre-loading and / or operation checking of your presentation file in the PC Preview Desk located in the Foyer 5th floor, Toranomon Hills Forum, no later than 30 minutes prior to your session.
- Please confirm your presentation data by the PC which you have not made the presentation slides.
- Preview Room open hours are listed below.

Saturday July 28 8:00-14:00
In the Conference Halls
- All oral presentations should be prepared as a PowerPoint file.
- The language for oral presentation is either Japanese or English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
- Please be in the reserved seat for next speakers in the meeting room and ready at least 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time of the session.
- A monitor, mouse, keyboard and laser pointer will be provided on the podium for speakers. The first presentation slide will be shown automatically and the next slide will be shown by yourself.
- Remaining time will be notified with a programmable timing light as follows;
- Yellow light: You have only one minute left.
- Red light: It's time to close your presentation.
Your Presentation by USB Memory Stick
- Please note that all presentation data will be deleted from our PC after each session finishes.
- The application software is required to Windows PowerPoint 2013/2016.
- All slides should be prepared in English.
- All authors are required to disclose any conflict of interest with sponsoring companies. For oral presentations, please include the slide disclosing the state of COI in your PowerPoint presentation after your title slide. You can download sample template from Call for Abstract page on our website below;

Japanese - We, the congress, recommend the following fonts due to avoid character corruption: Arial, Century and Times New Roman
Your Presentation by Your Own PC
- Macintosh users are required to bring your own PC.
- If video material and sound are included in the presentation data, you must bring your own PC.
- We also recommend any video data to be in WMV format which can be played on Windows Media Player. All data files should be in one folder, including any reference files such as video images.
- Please remove the password, screensaver, and power saving settings of your PC before your presentation.
- Please note that the projectors are connected to computers via a D-sub 15-pin plug. If your PC is unavailable to use this type of plug, please bring the necessary adaptor and also PC's AC adaptor.
- If there is only HDMI output in your own PC, please bring the conversion adapter to D-SUB.
- Please bring your presentation data on the USB memory stick, just in case.
- After checking your presentation data at PC Preview Desk, please bring your own PC to a technical desk located in the front left side of the Conference Hall.
Time allocations for presentations
- The speakers of Plenary Session will be given 15 minutes in total.
(12-minute talk followed by 3-minute discussion) - The speakers of Oral Sessions will be given 10 minutes in total.
(7-minute talk followed by 3-minute discussion)

Instructions for Presentation in Poster Session
- The poster board assigned to each presenter has a usable area of 90 cm in width and 190 cm in height.
- The top left section of 20 cm square will be used for an abstract number plate.
- Number plates and pins will be provided by JSGCT2018.
- Authors must prepare the title, name, affiliation and the overview of their presentation briefly in English.
- Please include disclosure information at the bottom right corner of your poster so that it can be visible to viewers. You can download COI sample template from Call for Abstract page on our website as below;

Japanese - The speakers of Poster Sessions will be given 5 minutes in total. (3-minute talk and 2-minute discussion)
The presentation and discussion may either be in Japanese or English. - Authors are requested to mount and remove posters at designated places and times.
